My 90-year-old mother was living independently but started to experience some memory loss issues. It was getting unsafe for her to live by herself, and it was important for my wife and I to get her placed in an assisted living facility that had services for individuals with memory impairment and to get her qualified for Medicaid to fund her placement. A friend of ours recommended McCarthy Law, LLC and we are grateful that she did. Our initial meeting regarding my mother was held on Friday, 1/16/2026. We met with Attorney Daphne Hamilton and her support team. I appreciate that Elder Care Coordinator, Susan Ferrante Dimeo and Jordan Serra, Esq. came to my mother’s home to meet her and witness firsthand her abilities and challenges. Based on Susan’s efforts, she was accepted on Wednesday, 2/4/2026 into Spring Villa Memory Care in less than three weeks from the date of our first meeting. It is an ideal setting to meet her physical and mental health needs, and she does call it “home.” To facilitate visitation, the assisted living facility is near where we live. As a result of administrative services provided by Rachel-Rose Pitchette, Paralegal, we received the official Medicaid approval letter dated 4/22/26 for my mother retroactive to 3/1/2026. Considering how long it normally takes to get Medicaid approval, Rachel managed this process with extraordinary accuracy and quickness.
